AS 9100 standardizes quality management system requirements for the aerospace industry for all levels of the supply chain in the interest of improving of quality and safety and decreasing costs. AS 9100 defines additional areas within an aerospace quality management system that must be addressed when implementing an ISO 9001-based quality system.
